You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, leading teams that build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure. You understand the intricacies of Kubernetes and have a strong background in CI/CD practices, ensuring that your team can deploy and operate software efficiently. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, allowing engineers to thrive in a supportive environment.
You possess a deep understanding of observability tools and practices, enabling your team to monitor and optimize system performance effectively. You are skilled in developer tooling and have experience implementing solutions that enhance the developer experience, making it easier for engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Desirable

What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for the Cloud Platform team, you will lead a group of highly skilled engineers responsible for managing Amplitude's Kubernetes-based infrastructure. You will oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that software can be deployed quickly and reliably. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define best practices for observability and monitoring, allowing your team to proactively address issues before they impact customers.
You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, conducting regular 1:1s to discuss career growth and performance. You will also play a key role in hiring new talent, ensuring that the team continues to grow with skilled individuals who align with Amplitude's values.
Your leadership will be crucial in driving process improvements and fostering a culture of innovation within the team. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to understand their needs and translate them into actionable plans that enhance the overall platform.
