You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to navigate cross-functional partnerships with product, infrastructure, and research teams seamlessly. You are adept at prioritizing operational demands while also focusing on long-term strategic goals. You have a strong understanding of the security lifecycle and are committed to instilling security best practices across the organization.
Desirable
Experience in AI safety or related fields would be a plus, as well as familiarity with building security programs in rapidly growing organizations. A background in software engineering or security engineering can enhance your ability to lead technical discussions and drive initiatives forward.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for Detection and Response, you will lead a team dedicated to creating comprehensive security observability and incident response programs. You will manage the growth of your team, planning strategies and hiring to support Anthropic's rapid expansion. Your role will involve collaborating closely with various teams to build robust prevention, detection, and response capabilities throughout the security lifecycle. You will facilitate the development of scalable, AI-leveraged solutions that empower self-service observability and detection capabilities. You will also be responsible for navigating prioritization in a fast-paced environment, balancing immediate operational needs with innovative, long-term solutions. Your leadership will be crucial in building partnerships across the organization to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of product development and infrastructure.
