Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable infrastructure. Your background includes working with distributed systems and you understand the complexities involved in managing high-volume workloads. You are proficient in AWS and have experience with containerization technologies like Docker, which you have used to streamline development processes.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including researchers and engineers. Your experience with version control systems like Git has equipped you to manage codebases effectively and ensure smooth integration across teams. You are passionate about improving developer productivity and have a keen interest in optimizing workflows.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with tools that enhance developer experience would be a plus. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is also beneficial, as it allows you to contribute to various aspects of the development process.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and build scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure that supports high-volume workloads across all engineering teams. You will own the end-to-end experience of how engineers and researchers at Anthropic develop, build, test, and ship code at scale. This includes working on the source control and language ecosystems that underpin our monorepo, as well as the build and CI infrastructure that keeps thousands of daily builds running reliably.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers to develop shared libraries and tools that enhance the developer experience. Your work will directly impact how quickly we can train new models and run safety experiments, ensuring that our infrastructure can scale effectively as we grow.
