Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting, particularly in revenue recognition, and are familiar with generally accepted accounting principles (ASC 606). Your attention to detail ensures that all customer contracts are reviewed thoroughly to determine appropriate accounting treatment. You thrive in collaborative environments and understand the importance of teamwork in achieving high standards of excellence.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can identify issues in revenue allocation and plans. Your experience with accounting software, particularly NetSuite, allows you to efficiently manage revenue recognition processes. You are committed to maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
What you'll do
As a Senior Accountant at Appian, you will participate in all aspects of the revenue accounting function. Your primary responsibility will be to review and approve customer contracts, ensuring that all software and services revenues are accounted for in compliance with ASC 606. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to address any issues that arise and provide guidance on revenue recognition matters.
You will also be responsible for reviewing revenue allocation and revenue plans in the NetSuite system, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your role will involve collaborating with other departments to foster a culture of in-person teamwork, which is essential to Appian's mission. You will contribute to the overall success of the finance team by upholding high standards and delivering quality results.
