Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience in analog layout automation. Your expertise includes designing analog and mixed-signal layouts in deep-submicron CMOS and FinFET technologies, showcasing your deep understanding of the intricacies involved in silicon design. You possess strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as SKILL, Perl, TCL, Shell, and Python, emphasizing layout automation and productivity tooling. Your solid understanding of supervised and self-supervised learning, along with convolutional neural networks, positions you as a leader in applying AI/ML techniques to enhance design efficiency.
What you'll do
As an Analog Layout Automation Engineer at Apple, you will convert design concepts into silicon by collaborating closely with circuit designers. You will utilize advanced CAD tools, including AI-powered solutions, to create high-performance analog and mixed-signal layouts. Your responsibilities will include reviewing floor plans, analyzing circuits, and running verification suites to ensure the integrity of the designs. You will also resolve LVS/DRC/ERC issues to deliver next-generation SOCs. A significant part of your role will involve driving automation by developing scripts and improving workflows, applying AI/ML for layout optimization, verification acceleration, and intelligent quality metrics. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the design process, ultimately shaping the future of Apple's iconic devices.
