Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in designing analog and mixed-signal layouts in deep-submicron CMOS and FinFET technologies. Your strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as SKILL, Perl, TCL, Shell, and Python emphasize layout automation and productivity tooling. You possess a solid understanding of supervised and self-supervised learning, convolutional neural networks, and their applications in design automation.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to convert design concepts into silicon. Your expertise in advanced CAD tools and automation techniques allows you to drive efficiency and innovation in the design process. You are detail-oriented, capable of reviewing floor plans, analyzing circuits, and resolving LVS/DRC/ERC issues effectively.

What you'll do

As an Analog Layout Automation Engineer at Apple, you will be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of SOCs, contributing to the evolution of Analog/Mixed-Signal circuits, including SerDes, PLLs, and sensors. You will utilize advanced CAD tools, including AI-powered solutions, to create high-performance analog and mixed-signal layouts. Your role will involve reviewing floor plans, running verification suites, and resolving any layout issues to ensure the delivery of next-generation SOCs.

You will also focus on driving automation by developing scripts and improving workflows, applying AI/ML techniques for layout optimization and verification acceleration. Your contributions will lead to intelligent quality metrics and reduced manual effort, ultimately enhancing the design process and providing data-driven insights. You will collaborate with circuit designers to ensure that the designs meet performance and quality standards, making a significant impact on Apple's innovative product lineup.
