Job Description
Who you are
You have over 10 years of experience in ASIC power engineering, with a strong foundation in low-power design principles and methodologies. Your expertise in power modeling and analysis allows you to contribute significantly to the development of energy-efficient wireless SoCs. You possess a deep understanding of ASIC logic design and are familiar with various power tools such as PTPX and Power Artist. Your proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python enables you to automate tasks and streamline processes effectively.
You have a solid grasp of common SOC components, including CPUs, fabric, peripherals, and PCIe, which allows you to understand the broader context of your work. Your strong problem-solving and analytical skills help you tackle complex challenges in power correlation and modeling. You are also knowledgeable about pre-silicon power estimation and modeling, which enhances your ability to predict power consumption accurately.
Desirable
While not required, experience with wireless technologies such as WIFI, Bluetooth, and UWB is a plus. Familiarity with ASIC physical design (PD) and static timing analysis (STA) will further strengthen your profile. Additionally, having a background in system architecture and post-silicon functional debug will set you apart from other candidates.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the forefront of low-power architecture and power modeling efforts within Apple's wireless SOC organization. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct power modeling, analysis, and correlation tasks that directly impact the efficiency and performance of wireless communication SoCs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the power requirements align with the overall design goals of the products.
You will also be involved in developing innovative solutions that enhance the user experience through energy-efficient designs. Your work will have a critical impact on delivering functional products to millions of customers quickly. You will be expected to stay updated on the latest technologies and methodologies in low-power design to continuously improve the development process.
