Job Description
Who you are
You have over 10 years of relevant experience in ASIC power engineering, with a strong foundation in low-power design principles and methodologies. Your expertise in power modeling and correlation is complemented by a solid understanding of ASIC logic design, enabling you to contribute effectively to the development of energy-efficient wireless SoCs.
Your proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python allows you to automate tasks and streamline workflows, enhancing the efficiency of power analysis processes. You possess a deep knowledge of common SOC components, including CPUs, fabric, peripherals, and PCIe, which is crucial for understanding the power implications of various design choices.
You are a problem solver with strong analytical skills, capable of tackling complex challenges in power estimation and modeling. Your experience includes pre-silicon power estimation and modeling, as well as post-silicon functional debug and power correlation, making you well-equipped to ensure the performance and efficiency of the products you work on.
Desirable
While not mandatory, experience with wireless technologies such as WIFI, BT, and UWB is a plus, as is familiarity with ASIC physical design (PD) and static timing analysis (STA). Your background in system architecture will further enhance your ability to contribute to innovative solutions in wireless silicon development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the forefront of low-power architecture and power modeling efforts within Apple's wireless SOC organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of highly energy-efficient silicon solutions that transform user experiences. Your responsibilities will include conducting power modeling, analysis, and correlation tasks, ensuring that the products meet stringent performance and efficiency standards.
You will work closely with design and engineering teams to identify power optimization opportunities and implement strategies that enhance the overall power efficiency of wireless communication SoCs. Your insights will have a critical impact on the successful delivery of functional products to millions of customers worldwide.
