Who you are

You have a bachelor's degree and a solid understanding of ASIC power design — your experience with power tools like PTPX and Power Artist has equipped you with the skills to analyze and model power for wireless communication systems. You understand ASIC logic design and have a strong grasp of low power design principles, including UPF. Your proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python allows you to automate tasks and streamline processes effectively.

You possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, which enable you to tackle complex challenges in power modeling and correlation. Your background includes pre-silicon power estimation and modeling, giving you insights into the intricacies of low power design. You are familiar with common SOC components like CPUs, fabric, peripherals, and PCIe, which enhances your ability to contribute to the development of energy-efficient solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of low-power architecture and power modeling efforts within Apple's wireless SOC organization. Your responsibilities will include conducting power analysis and correlation tasks that have a critical impact on delivering functional products to millions of customers. You will collaborate with a vertically integrated engineering team to ensure that the designs meet the highest standards of energy efficiency.

You will engage in power modeling for wireless communication SoCs, utilizing your expertise to drive innovations that transform user experiences. Your work will involve analyzing power consumption patterns and developing strategies to optimize performance while minimizing energy usage. You will also contribute to the debugging and validation of power correlation processes post-silicon, ensuring that the final products align with design specifications.
