Job Description

Who you are

You have a bachelor's degree and a solid understanding of ASIC power design — your experience with power tools like PTPX and Power Artist has equipped you to handle complex power modeling tasks. You understand ASIC logic design and have a keen interest in low power design methodologies, including UPF. Your proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python allows you to automate tasks and streamline processes effectively.

You possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling you to tackle challenges in power modeling and correlation. Your background includes knowledge of common SOC components like CPU, fabric, peripherals, and PCIe, which is essential for this role. You are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and efficiency in wireless silicon development.

Desirable

Experience with pre-silicon power estimation and modeling is a plus, as is actual low power design experience. Familiarity with wireless technologies, including WIFI, BT, and UWB, will enhance your contributions to the team. Knowledge of ASIC physical design (PD) and static timing analysis (STA) will also be beneficial.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of low-power architecture and power modeling efforts, directly impacting the development of functional products that reach millions of customers. You will collaborate with a world-class engineering team to analyze and correlate power data for wireless communication SoCs. Your work will involve detailed power modeling tasks, ensuring that the designs meet energy efficiency standards while maintaining performance.

You will engage in power correlation efforts, working closely with other engineers to validate and optimize designs. Your contributions will help shape the future of wireless technology, making it more efficient and user-friendly. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise in ASIC power design.

What we offer

Apple provides a dynamic work environment where innovation thrives. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of wireless technology. The company values diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all employees feel valued and empowered to contribute their best work.
