Job Description

Who you are

You have over 10 years of experience in ASIC power engineering, with a strong focus on low-power design and power modeling. Your background includes a deep understanding of ASIC logic design and the ability to work with power tools such as PTPX and Power Artist. You are proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python, which you use to automate tasks and enhance productivity. Your analytical skills allow you to tackle complex problems effectively, making you a valuable asset to any engineering team.

You possess a solid knowledge of common SOC components, including CPUs, fabric, peripherals, and PCIe, which enables you to contribute to various stages of silicon development. Your experience includes pre-silicon power estimation and modeling, as well as post-silicon functional debug and power correlation. You are familiar with wireless technologies such as WIFI, BT, and UWB, which are essential for the role.

Desirable

While not mandatory, experience in actual low-power design and ASIC physical design (PD) would be advantageous. Familiarity with static timing analysis (STA) and system architecture will further enhance your profile. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, contributing to innovative solutions that improve user experiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of low-power architecture and power modeling efforts within Apple's wireless SOC organization. Your responsibilities will include conducting power analysis and correlation tasks that directly impact the development of functional products for millions of customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that power efficiency is prioritized throughout the design process.

You will engage in power modeling activities, utilizing your expertise to drive improvements in energy efficiency and performance. Your work will involve analyzing power consumption patterns and identifying opportunities for optimization. You will also participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations based on your findings.
