Who you are

You have a strong background in CAD engineering, particularly in physical design verification (PDV) flows. Your attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the design process is meticulously crafted, allowing for high-performance and power-efficient processors. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside custom digital, analog, and mixed-signal design teams to facilitate the chip design process.

You possess a solid understanding of design rule checks (DRC) and layout versus schematic (LVS) runsets, enabling you to develop and modify rule decks effectively. Your experience includes coding custom PDV rule decks and improving verification methodologies, showcasing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You are also open to exploring machine learning and automation solutions to enhance workflows.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining various aspects of the physical design verification flow and methodology. You will coordinate efforts to validate flows and improve custom checks, ensuring that the design process is efficient and effective. Collaborating with design and physical design teams, you will facilitate the chip design process, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together.

You will have the opportunity to develop rule decks from scratch and modify existing ones, contributing to the overall success of the team. Your work will directly impact the performance and efficiency of Apple’s next-generation processors, making your contributions vital to the company's success. You will also engage in discussions about flow and runset development for various technology nodes and tool sets, further enhancing your expertise in the field.
