Who you are

You have a solid background in CAD engineering, with experience in physical design verification flows and methodologies. You understand the importance of every detail in the design process and are passionate about building elegant solutions to complex challenges. Your expertise includes developing and maintaining rule decks for design rule checks (DRC) and layout versus schematic (LVS) runsets. You are familiar with collaborating across teams, including custom digital, analog, and mixed-signal design, as well as chip integration. You have a good grasp of automation techniques, particularly in developing ML/LLM-based solutions to enhance design processes.

Desirable

Experience with various technology nodes and tool sets is a plus. Familiarity with coding in Python or similar languages will help you excel in this role. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail will set you apart as a candidate.

What you'll do

As a CAD Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, maintaining, and improving physical design verification flows. You will coordinate efforts to validate these flows and enhance custom checks and data generation processes. Collaborating closely with design and physical design teams, you will facilitate the chip design process, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet the required specifications. You will also have the opportunity to code custom PDV rule decks, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the design verification process. Your role will involve continuous improvement of methodologies and flows, ensuring that Apple products maintain their high standards of performance and efficiency.
