Who you are

You have over 6 years of experience in SOX, internal controls, IT audit, or external audit — you've developed a strong understanding of compliance frameworks and the importance of maintaining an audit-ready environment. Your expertise in core SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and HCM allows you to effectively contribute to the execution of SOX testing protocols. You are detail-oriented and committed to operational excellence, ensuring that all testing methodologies and documentation protocols are standardized and of high quality.

You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with finance, IT, and external auditors to drive compliance initiatives. Your strong communication skills enable you to engage effectively with control owners and support their expectations regarding control performance. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are passionate about integrating automation and tooling to enhance efficiency in testing processes.

Desirable

A certification in internal controls or auditing would be a plus, as it demonstrates your commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards. You are familiar with the latest trends in SOX compliance and are eager to implement innovative solutions that align with best practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of SOX testing, including conducting walkthroughs, developing test scripts, and evaluating evidence. You will coordinate testing and remediation activities with external audit teams and co-sourced partners, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and to a high standard. Your role will involve maintaining a robust control environment that is both inspectable and compliant with audit standards.

You will be responsible for exciting and maintaining standardized testing methodologies, documentation protocols, and quality control practices. Engaging with control owners will be a key part of your role, as you will support their expectations for complete and compliant control performance. You will also play a crucial role in supporting the integration of SOX automation and tooling, which will improve the efficiency of the testing process and provide data-driven insights.
