Job Description
Who you are
You have 5-7+ years of industry experience in operations, test engineering, or technical program management — you've successfully managed data collection projects and understand the intricacies of user studies. Your strong command of Apple's product ecosystem allows you to navigate complex environments effectively.
You are detail-oriented and possess a deep understanding of data collection fundamentals — your experience enables you to plan and execute large-scale data collections both domestically and internationally. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all requirements for data collection are met.
Your communication skills are exceptional — you can track and report on progress, blockers, and key deliverables to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams. You are also adept at creating and maintaining documentation for hardware and software platform setups, which is crucial for vendor training and deployment.
You are willing and able to travel to Apple Study locations and vendor study locations, committing a minimum of 5-10% of your year to ensure successful data collection efforts. Your proactive approach and problem-solving skills make you a valuable asset to any team.
Desirable
Experience with data offload practices and familiarity with Apple's product ecosystem would be advantageous, as would a background in quality assurance or support engineering. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to the development of groundbreaking products.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be empowered to plan, execute, and track large-scale data collections and user studies for algorithm development. You will bring up and maintain pre-release hardware and software platforms used for data collection across multiple locales, ensuring that all systems are operational and ready for use.
You will collaborate closely with hardware, software, infrastructure, and algorithm teams to define requirements for data collections and study designs. Your ability to track and report on progress will be essential in keeping senior leadership informed and aligned with project goals.
You will create and maintain comprehensive documentation for hardware and software platform setups, which will serve as a vital resource for vendor training and deployment. Your role will also involve troubleshooting any issues that arise during data collection, ensuring that all processes run smoothly.
