Who you are

You have a BS degree in a technical discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience in DDR design. Your background includes a strong understanding of digital design principles and the ability to write detailed design specifications and test plans. You are skilled in providing high-quality RTL descriptions and using formal tools to ensure RTL quality. Your experience includes collaborating closely with architecture, circuit designers, and verification engineers to drive functional and code coverage.

You are familiar with the silicon bring-up process and have a solid grasp of performance and power characterization. Your analytical skills enable you to perform concept studies and provide direction regarding performance, gate count, and power for various digital designs. You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to delivering bug-free first silicon through rigorous design verification.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus, as is familiarity with low power applications and high-performance design methodologies. You are eager to take on unsolved challenges and contribute to innovative product development at Apple.

What you'll do

As a DDR Design Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for all phases of the design process, starting from concept studies to architecture definition, design, and verification. You will write detailed design specifications and test plans, ensuring that your designs meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your role will involve creating high-quality RTL descriptions, including assertions, to guarantee the integrity of your designs.

You will utilize formal tools and static checkers to maintain RTL quality and support design verification efforts to ensure a smooth silicon bring-up process. Your responsibilities will also include driving functional and code coverage, as well as achieving timing closure for your designs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture and circuit designers, to ensure that your designs align with project goals and specifications.
