Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor design, particularly in DFT solutions. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can contribute to complex projects. You understand the intricacies of DFT architecture and infrastructure, and you are adept at working with various engineering teams to ensure successful implementation. Your experience allows you to navigate challenges effectively, ensuring that the technology you help create meets the high standards expected at Apple.

You possess a strong background in developing and implementing DFT solutions, and you are familiar with the verification processes involved in DFT implementations. Your ability to generate structural test vectors and analyze coverage is crucial in this role. You have a solid understanding of working with design verification teams and can effectively communicate technical concepts to various stakeholders. Your collaborative spirit enables you to work seamlessly with designers on STA, physical, power, and logical issues, ensuring that all aspects of the design are optimized for performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of semiconductor design efforts, responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple’s devices. You will develop and implement DFT architecture, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications for functionality and efficiency. Collaborating with the design verification team, you will verify DFT implementations and implement engineering change orders (ECOs) as needed. Your expertise will be essential in generating structural test vectors and analyzing coverage to improve the overall quality of the designs.

You will work closely with designers to address any issues related to static timing analysis, physical design, power consumption, and logical functionality. Your role will also involve collaborating with test engineers to bring up test vectors on silicon, ensuring that the final products are ready for mass production. You will manage schedules and support multi-functional engineering efforts, playing a critical role in getting functional products to millions of customers quickly. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Apple’s next-generation processors, making this a highly visible and rewarding position.
