You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and bring at least 20 years of relevant industry experience to the table. Your extensive background includes leading chip architecture and digital design, particularly in touch or communications technologies. You possess a strong electrical engineering foundation, especially in embedded systems, which allows you to tackle complex design challenges effectively.

Your experience in developing and launching high-volume IC designs has equipped you with the skills necessary to create innovative solutions that meet high user expectations. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at working cross-functionally to ensure that designs align with overall product goals. Your ability to analyze applications and optimize designs for cost and power efficiency is a key asset.

What you'll do

As a Digital Architect at Apple, you will be responsible for architecting Touch sensing systems and the ASICs required to realize them. You will take high-level user requirements and translate them into realizable systems that meet these goals. This involves high-level modeling of proposed solutions and creating detailed specifications of the requirements. You will collaborate closely with various teams to identify critical aspects of how your designs will interact with the overall product, ensuring a seamless user experience across Apple’s product line.

Your role will require you to stay hands-on with the latest technologies and methodologies in touch solutions, driving innovation within the team. You will lead efforts to analyze and optimize designs, ensuring they are cost-effective and power-efficient while maintaining the highest quality standards.
