Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in digital signal processing (DSP) and wireless systems, with experience in architecting calibration and correction methods for hardware and firmware implementations. Your expertise in power amplifiers (PA) and their efficiency optimization is complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with RF/analog designers and software engineers. You thrive on solving complex challenges and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
You possess a deep understanding of DSP techniques and their application in improving power amplifier performance, particularly in high data rate applications. Your knowledge extends to envelope tracing and envelope elimination and restoration (EER) methods, which are crucial for enhancing PA efficiency. You are adept at using digital algorithms to tackle nonlinear distortion and ensure acceptable linearity in your designs.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the forefront of silicon design, working closely with a multifaceted group to develop cutting-edge wireless products. Your primary responsibility will be to architect various calibration and correction methods, ensuring their successful implementation in hardware and firmware. You will validate overall performance enhancements through lab measurements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and execute project goals.
You will engage in hands-on work, applying your DSP knowledge to optimize power consumption while maintaining high performance. Your role will involve continuous interaction with RF/analog designers, product engineers, and architects to refine designs and improve system efficiency. You will also participate in lab testing and validation, ensuring that the products meet Apple's high standards for quality and performance.
