Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in wireless systems engineering, with experience in physical layer system design and integration. Your expertise includes crafting algorithms for calibration and pre-equalization techniques, ensuring robust performance across various wireless channels. You are proficient in implementing fixed-point models and conducting detailed performance investigations to facilitate performance sign-off and enable RTL bit-exact development.
You have hands-on experience collaborating with digital designers to create power and area-efficient implementations of PHY algorithms. Your work with firmware designers has equipped you with the skills to develop high-efficiency software implementations and leverage hardware acceleration effectively. You thrive in environments where you can validate and characterize algorithms on real silicon, working closely with RFIC teams to debug and resolve issues.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and simulating advanced physical layer wireless communication algorithms. You will implement system models that account for RF and circuit impairments, ensuring that the wireless communication systems meet high-performance standards. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate these systems into upcoming Apple products, contributing to the overall user experience.
You will also engage in performance investigations, utilizing your analytical skills to optimize algorithms for various wireless channels. Your ability to work with both hardware and software teams will be crucial as you develop solutions that enhance the efficiency and robustness of wireless systems. You will play a key role in the silicon design group, guiding projects from conception through to production, and ensuring that the final products delight Appleβs customers.
