Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in wireless systems. Your hands-on experience includes chip bringup and tuning wireless transmitter or receiver chains for optimal performance. You possess a basic understanding of communication theory, DSP, OFDM systems, and radio architectures, along with the impact of radio impairments on performance.
Your expertise extends to designing novel calibration algorithms for wireless systems, showcasing your ability to tackle complex challenges. You are familiar with communication protocols like IEEE 802.11 standards, which enhances your capability to contribute effectively to the team.
You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C/C++, allowing you to implement solutions efficiently. Your understanding of signal processing algorithms, including timing recovery and automatic gain control, positions you as a valuable asset in the development of innovative wireless technologies.
Desirable
A good understanding of signal processing algorithms and RF impairment estimation is preferred, as it will help you navigate the complexities of wireless system integration. Familiarity with coexistence issues in wireless communication will further enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
As a Wireless Systems Integration Engineer at Apple, you will be part of a silicon design group responsible for the integration of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products from conception to production. Your role will involve designing and implementing radio calibration algorithms that ensure optimal performance of wireless systems.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring chips from design to production, addressing challenges that arise during the chip bringup process. Your expertise in tuning wireless transmitter and receiver chains will be crucial in achieving the desired performance metrics.
