Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Your strong electrical engineering fundamentals are complemented by demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development. You possess expertise in silicon development, packaging, and process definition, and you are proficient in circuit design and layout. Your experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and meters, as well as circuit simulation tools like SPICE, allows you to create comprehensive engineering design, requirement, and specification documents.

You have a keen interest in biometric sensors, firmware, and algorithms, which enhances your ability to contribute to innovative projects. Familiarity with FEA, simulation, and modeling tools such as Comsol is a plus, as it aligns with the cutting-edge work being done in the Sensing Systems team. You thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated by the challenge of integrating sensor solutions into Apple's ecosystem.

What you'll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer on the Sensing Systems team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and launching next-generation Touch ID sensors. Your responsibilities will include defining electrical architecture and driving technology development to ensure the seamless integration of sensor solutions into Apple products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative devices to life, enabling them to interact with users in unprecedented ways.

You will be involved in all phases of the development process, from initial concept through to mass production. Your expertise will guide the team in validating requirements and ensuring that the sensors meet Apple's high standards for security and convenience. You will also contribute to the documentation of engineering designs and specifications, ensuring clarity and precision in the development process.
