Apple is hiring a TouchID Sensor Design and Integration Electrical Engineer to design and develop next-generation Touch ID sensors. You'll work with analog and digital circuit design, PCB design, and signal integrity in California.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong foundation in electrical engineering with a focus on analog fundamentals and demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development. Your expertise includes leading technical teams and you possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have experience in the design, characterization, and validation of sensing systems, along with creating engineering design, requirement, and specification documents. Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and meters is second nature to you, and you are adept at ensuring signal integrity throughout the design process.

You are a collaborative teammate who thrives in a dynamic environment, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in technology. Your passion for innovation drives you to take electrical designs into mass production, ensuring that the products you work on meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You understand the importance of user experience and security in product design, particularly in the context of biometric sensors.

What you'll do

As a key member of the Sensing Systems team, you will be responsible for the entire sensor development lifecycle, from schematic capture and module design to validation and integration across the supply chain. Your role will involve designing, developing, and launching the next generation of Touch ID sensors, which are integral to the security and seamless user experience of Apple's iconic products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the sensors meet both technical specifications and user needs.

You will define technical strategies and drive innovation in the development of fingerprint biometric sensors. Your responsibilities will include conducting electrical failure analysis to identify and resolve issues during the design process. You will also be involved in the validation of designs, ensuring that they perform reliably under various conditions. Your work will directly impact how users interact with technology, making it essential that you maintain a focus on quality and user experience throughout the development process.
