Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in designing and developing test and measurement instruments. Your expertise includes working with PCB, MCU, and FPGA technologies, and you are familiar with various communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for creating high-quality instrumentation systems that support product development and production.
Desirable
Experience with advanced test instrument architecture and schematic design is a plus. Familiarity with prototype fabrication and assembly processes will help you excel in this role. You are also comfortable with the lifecycle of electronic systems and have a keen interest in the latest advancements in test and measurement technologies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for specifying, architecting, designing, validating, and developing electrical instrumentation to support consumer product bring-up and characterization. You will collaborate closely with product teams to define instrumentation architecture and specifications, ensuring that the instruments meet the rigorous standards expected at Apple. Your work will involve the entire lifecycle of test instruments, from initial design through to production release.
You will engage in the development of advanced test instrument board architecture, schematic design, and PCB layout. Your role will also include hands-on work with prototype fabrication and assembly, as well as bringing up the instruments for testing and validation. You will play a key role in ensuring that the instrumentation systems are reliable and effective in supporting product validation efforts.
