You are an entry-level engineer with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a keen interest in firmware development. You have experience or coursework in C and assembly language, particularly with ARM CPUs, and are eager to apply your knowledge in a practical setting. You understand the fundamentals of embedded systems and are excited about the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology products. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to solve complex problems and bring innovative ideas to life.
Desirable
Experience with FPGA development is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to contribute to various projects. Familiarity with device drivers and system debugging will also be beneficial as you navigate the challenges of firmware development.
What you'll do
As a SoC Firmware Engineer at Apple, you will implement new features and functionalities for Apple's premier SoCs. You will partner closely with various team members on activities ranging from processor sub-system design to firmware development and system debug. Your role will involve developing embedded software solutions for current and future products, ensuring that the firmware meets product requirements through rigorous testing and debugging. You will also work with the silicon team to craft specifications for future chips, building software to run on these new chips and boards. Your responsibilities will include developing drivers for various IP blocks in embedded environments and providing system-level API and firmware functionality.
