You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with silicon teams to develop specifications for future chips and ensuring that your software integrates seamlessly with hardware. Your experience in system debug, root cause analysis, and corrective action equips you to tackle challenges head-on, making you a valuable asset to any project.

Your background in developing drivers for various IP blocks in embedded environments demonstrates your technical versatility and problem-solving skills. You understand the importance of system-level API and firmware functionality, and you are adept at coding, debugging, and conducting hardware/software integration testing.

What you'll do

As a Senior SoC Firmware Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for implementing new features and functionalities for Apple’s premier SoCs. You will partner closely with various team members, engaging in activities that range from processor sub-system design to algorithm development and firmware development. Your role will involve developing embedded software solutions that are critical to the success of current and future products.

You will work with the silicon team to craft specifications for future chips, ensuring that your software is designed to run efficiently on these new chips and boards. Your responsibilities will include developing drivers for various IP blocks, providing system-level API and firmware functionality to meet product requirements, and conducting thorough testing to ensure quality and performance.

In addition to coding and debugging, you will engage in hardware/software integration testing, communicating results and recommendations to your team. Your ability to analyze and resolve issues will be crucial in maintaining the high standards that Apple is known for.
