Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong technical background with a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, and at least 2 to 3 years of experience as a manager or lead. Your expertise includes practical experience with GPU compute APIs such as Metal, CUDA, or OpenCL, and you possess a solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals along with familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, and CoreML. You are knowledgeable about Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and CPU/GPU programming, and you have a strong background in C and C++ programming. You are excited about leading engineers and collaborating with other leaders to ensure a robust software and hardware roadmap for innovative products.
What you'll do
As the manager of the Pre-silicon Compute Frameworks team, you will support, lead, and grow a team of engineers through API development and performance analysis across Metal and Metal compute frameworks for future Apple Silicon GPUs. You will partner with other leaders across Apple software and hardware organizations to propose, develop, and evaluate hardware features for new silicon generations from emulation through silicon. Your role will involve overseeing the technical direction of the team, ensuring that the API design aligns with the performance requirements of upcoming hardware features. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving the team's success in delivering high-quality software solutions.
