You have a strong background in firmware development with a focus on wireless communications, ideally with 5+ years of experience in the field. Your fluency in C/C++ allows you to design and implement complex firmware solutions, and you have a solid understanding of networking stacks and communication theory. Your problem-solving skills enable you to achieve results even under challenging circumstances, and you possess a BS in electrical engineering or a related field.

A master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred, as well as experience in developing Wi-Fi based algorithms and familiarity with the 802.11 protocol. You enjoy tackling new challenges with enthusiasm and urgency, and you have a knack for building partnerships that help meet shared objectives. Your ability to handle conflict situations effectively contributes to a harmonious team dynamic.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing firmware code for Apple's Wi-Fi chipsets, focusing on implementing various functionalities that enhance the user experience. You will collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to define requirements for multiple features, ensuring a seamless HW/SW integration. Your work will involve designing, coding, and integrating algorithms in C/C++ that adhere to the 802.11 protocol, and you will work closely with test teams to validate the developed features. Following established processes for releasing features will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all deliverables meet Apple's high standards for quality and performance.

You will participate in technical discussions regarding wireless systems, contributing your insights and expertise to help shape the direction of the projects. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest advancements in wireless technology, allowing you to bring innovative ideas to the table.
