Who you are

You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in chip design and automation, with a strong focus on GenAI frameworks and physical synthesis workflows. Your expertise includes developing intelligent solutions that leverage AI to optimize complex design processes, and you are passionate about the transformative potential of GenAI in the semiconductor industry.

You possess a deep understanding of physical synthesis concepts and CAD flows, enabling you to create innovative automation solutions that enhance RTL-to-GDS implementation flows. Your programming skills in languages such as Python, TCL, or Perl are well-honed, allowing you to automate EDA tools effectively and efficiently.

Your experience with industry-standard synthesis tools like Fusion Compiler or Genus equips you to tackle the challenges of modern chip design. You are familiar with AI/ML libraries, particularly in Python, and have a keen interest in developing AI agents that can autonomously optimize design processes and predict potential challenges.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of merging artificial intelligence with chip design, pioneering the next generation of AI-powered design automation tools. You will apply your expertise in GenAI and agentic frameworks to develop intelligent automation solutions that transform physical synthesis workflows.

You will be responsible for creating AI-powered agents using technologies like Model Context Protocol (MCP) that can autonomously optimize physical synthesis processes, predict design challenges, and recommend solutions. Your work will directly contribute to accelerating Apple's processor and SoC development, ensuring that the technology powering Apple's devices remains cutting-edge and efficient.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and software developers, to integrate your solutions into existing workflows. Your role will involve continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and methodologies in the rapidly evolving field of chip design.
