You are proficient in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, or Perl, which you use for EDA tool automation. Your understanding of industry-standard synthesis tools like Fusion Compiler or Genus equips you to optimize physical synthesis processes effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will pioneer the next generation of AI-powered design automation tools that accelerate processor and SoC development. You will apply your expertise in GenAI and agentic frameworks to develop intelligent automation solutions that transform RTL-to-GDS implementation flows. Your responsibilities will include creating AI-powered agents using technologies like Model Context Protocol (MCP) that can autonomously optimize physical synthesis processes.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to identify and solve complex physical synthesis challenges. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and performance of Apple's silicon, enabling the company to deliver even more powerful devices. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge of GenAI and physical synthesis concepts with the team.
