Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in computer architecture and GPU architecture, with at least 3 years of experience in performance analysis for GPUs or CPUs. Your programming skills in C, C++, and Python enable you to develop tools and solutions that enhance GPU performance. You are adept at analyzing complex performance issues and proposing innovative hardware solutions to improve efficiency. Your familiarity with OpenGL and Metal API allows you to validate and quantify the performance benefits of features and algorithms implemented in hardware and software.
What you'll do
As a GPU Performance Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive performance test plans that validate GPU performance across various applications. You will analyze performance issues to identify both hardware and software problems, collaborating closely with architecture, design, and software partners. Your role will involve proposing novel hardware solutions aimed at enhancing GPU performance, as well as developing tools that facilitate efficient measurement and communication of performance metrics. You will also validate the functionality and quantify the performance benefits of features and algorithms implemented in both hardware and software, ensuring that Apple products deliver the high performance and efficiency that users expect.
