Job Description
Who you are
You have a solid background in silicon validation and debugging, with experience in working with system workloads and understanding high-level architectures of IP blocks. Your expertise includes defining validation plans and executing system tests on prototype SoCs across various conditions. You are skilled in scripting and automation frameworks, particularly with languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl, which you use to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with functional test writers and domain experts to identify potential issues and characterize the functional voltage of SoCs. Your analytical mindset allows you to triage issues effectively, isolating and categorizing failures to facilitate swift resolutions. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results in your work.
Desirable
Experience with circuit marginalities, process-design interactions, and logic bugs is a plus. Familiarity with various testing methodologies and tools will enhance your contributions to the team. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes, continuously seeking ways to improve validation practices.
What you'll do

You will collaborate with a team of engineers to define and implement validation plans that ensure the reliability and performance of silicon components. Your role will involve debugging and root cause analysis of any issues that arise during testing, utilizing your scripting skills to automate processes where possible.
You will engage in hands-on testing, working with large volumes of prototype SoCs across different Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) corners. Your insights will be crucial in identifying circuit marginalities and understanding how design choices impact functionality. You will also work closely with domain experts to refine testing strategies and improve overall validation outcomes.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will contribute to team discussions and knowledge sharing, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies that contribute to Apple's innovative product lineup, making a significant impact on the company's success.
