Who you are
You have a solid background in silicon validation and debugging, with experience in analyzing circuit marginalities and process-design interactions. Your expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl allows you to automate tests effectively and enhance validation processes. You understand the intricacies of high-level architectures of IP blocks within SoCs and can define applicable validation plans based on your insights. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to triage issues and isolate failures efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with functional test writers and domain experts to ensure comprehensive validation coverage. You are committed to delivering high-quality results and continuously improving validation methodologies.
Desirable
Experience with large volume prototype SoCs and knowledge of Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) testing would be advantageous. Familiarity with system workloads and the ability to characterize functional voltage under various conditions will set you apart. A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and a passion for innovation in silicon technology are highly valued.
What you'll do
As a SoC Validation Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for validating Apple SoCs using system workloads. You will collaborate with functional test writers to understand the architecture of each IP block and define validation plans accordingly. Your role will involve executing system tests through scripts and automation frameworks, focusing on large volumes of prototype SoCs across different PVT corners. You will be the first line of defense in debugging, triaging issues, and isolating failures when they occur.
