Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or Mechanical Engineering, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Your deep understanding of electrical engineering and transducer physics allows you to excel in designing complex sensing systems. You possess experience in modeling complex multi-physics and electrical systems, which is crucial for this role. Your block-level circuit simulation experience and knowledge of both analog and digital signal processing techniques make you a strong candidate for architecting sensing systems. You are resourceful and capable of independently converging technical issues while aligning efforts across teams.

Desirable

A Master's or Ph.D. in a related field is preferred, along with relevant project or coursework experience in designing sensing systems. Your familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in sensing architecture will be an asset in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for architecting the end-to-end sensing system for various Apple products, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods. You will develop sensor and ASIC requirements, back-end algorithms, and calibration needs to ensure robust and optimized sensing systems. Your role will involve delivering an architecture package backed by extensive modeling and simulations, enabling hardware teams to execute and build systems at scale. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to clarify ambiguous design spaces and accelerate progress in sensing technology.
