Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in physical design and implementation, with experience in the complete design flow from netlist to tapeout. Your knowledge of chip architecture and back-end design processes allows you to collaborate effectively with architecture, CAD, timing, and logic design teams. You are familiar with physical synthesis, floor-planning, place and route (PnR), and power grid design, ensuring that you can contribute to delivering best-in-class designs.
You possess a solid understanding of timing analysis (STA) and physical design verification techniques such as DRC and LVS. Your experience with tools like Redhawk, Totem, and Voltus enables you to perform electrical verification and ensure that designs meet stringent performance and reliability standards. You are detail-oriented and committed to driving signoff processes efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the physical implementation of design partitions, collaborating closely with the logic design team to understand partition architecture and drive physical aspects early in the design cycle. You will complete netlist to GDS2 implementations for your assigned partitions, ensuring that they meet schedule and design goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting timing, physical, and electrical verification, as well as driving the signoff process to ensure that designs are ready for production.
You will work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of Apple's groundbreaking products. You will engage with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to address challenges and optimize designs.
