Job Description

Who you are

You have a solid understanding of chip architecture and back-end chip design flow, with experience in physical synthesis and place and route (PnR). Your knowledge extends to power grid design, timing analysis (STA), and physical design verification (DRC/LVS). You are familiar with tools such as Redhawk, Totem, and Voltus, which are essential for ensuring the integrity of the designs you work on.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with architecture, CAD, timing, and logic design teams. Your ability to communicate effectively with these teams allows you to drive physical aspects early in the design cycle, ensuring that projects meet their schedules and design goals. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering best-in-class designs that push the boundaries of technology.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the physical implementation of design partitions from netlist to tapeout. You will collaborate with the logic design team to understand partition architecture and drive physical aspects early in the design cycle. Your responsibilities will include completing netlist to GDS2 implementation for partition(s) while meeting schedule and design goals. You will also conduct timing, physical, and electrical verification, driving the signoff process to ensure that designs meet all specifications.

You will engage in continuous learning and improvement, staying updated on the latest technologies and methodologies in physical design. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the success of Apple's hardware products, as you work to deliver innovative solutions that enhance user experiences.
