Apple is seeking a Senior Hardware Systems Signal Integrity Engineer to join their iPhone System Technologies team. You'll collaborate with various technology and module teams to ensure high-speed and low-speed link integration. This role requires a strong background in signal integrity and hardware testing.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of industry experience, showcasing your strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and problem-solving skills. Your academic background in electromagnetic theory and coupling mechanisms is robust, allowing you to tackle complex challenges in signal integrity. You possess hands-on experience in hardware board-level testing and validation, utilizing lab equipment such as TDR, VNAs, oscilloscopes, near-field scanning, and spectrum analyzers. Your expertise extends to EM and circuit simulation, enabling you to effectively design and debug high-speed and low-speed links in mobile systems.

Desirable

You are familiar with the integration of various components in mobile systems, including rigid PCBs, flexible printed circuit boards, and connectors. Your collaborative nature allows you to interface effectively with technology and module teams, influencing their integration at the system level. You are passionate about creating innovative solutions and are eager to contribute to the development of groundbreaking products at Apple.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key player in the hardware development team, focusing on signal integrity for the iPhone. You will collaborate with various technology and module teams, ensuring the seamless integration of components at the system level. Your responsibilities will include designing and debugging high-speed and low-speed links, utilizing your strong background in signal integrity to influence design decisions. You will conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware, employing your hands-on experience with lab equipment to ensure optimal performance. Your role will also involve simulating EMI and crosstalk, extracting channel models, and applying your knowledge of transmission line theory to enhance product quality.
