Apple is hiring an Instrumentation System Design Engineer to design, develop, and deploy calibration and test instrumentation systems for their products. You'll work closely with multi-functional teams and require expertise in programming and electro-mechanical systems.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering and bring over 5 years of professional experience in designing, developing, debugging, and validating electro-mechanical systems. Your programming skills span across languages such as C, C++, Objective-C, and you possess scripting knowledge in Python and Lua. You are well-versed in digital serial communication protocols including USB, UART, I2C, and SPI, and have a proven understanding of consumer electronics modules like transducers and sensors.
Your experience includes a strong background in control systems and signal processing, along with an understanding of test principles and automation. You are adept at working with multi-functional groups throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, ensuring the success of current and future Apple products. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that impact millions of users.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy calibration and test instrumentation systems that are integral to Apple's product integrity. You will collaborate closely with design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software, and operations teams to ensure that new products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your responsibilities will include debugging and validating systems, optimizing test automation processes, and contributing to the overall success of Apple's product launches.
You will also be involved in the development of new insights that can lead to extraordinary products and services.
