Who you are

You are an experienced regulatory attorney with a strong background in payments and financial services, particularly within the European context. With significant experience advising on compliance matters, you have a demonstrable track record of navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Your expertise extends to emerging technologies, and you thrive on the challenges that come with fast-paced technological developments. You enjoy building strong relationships with clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams to find innovative solutions to regulatory challenges.

You have a deep understanding of European, UK, and international laws and regulations concerning payments and digital wallets. Your ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively is one of your key strengths. You are proactive in identifying regulatory risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that Apple’s products and services remain compliant with applicable laws.

Your experience includes designing and implementing robust regulatory compliance projects, and you are comfortable working in a dynamic technology environment. You are excited about the intersection of technology and law, and you are eager to contribute to Apple's mission of innovation in the payments space.

Desirable

Experience with regulatory compliance in the technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with legislative policy matters impacting financial services. You may also have a background in advising on cross-border regulatory issues, which will be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will advise the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team on a wide range of regulatory issues related to digital wallets, payments, and financial services. You will leverage your expertise to design and implement compliance strategies that align with Apple’s business objectives. Your responsibilities will include developing and communicating Apple’s response to regulatory initiatives, coordinating closely with other teams to ensure alignment on regulatory strategy and engagement.

You will be part of a close-knit local team and a global team, collaborating with colleagues across the US, Europe, and Asia. Your role will involve staying up-to-date with regulatory developments and providing timely advice to the business on potential impacts. You will also engage with regulators and industry stakeholders to advocate for Apple’s interests and contribute to shaping the regulatory landscape.
