Who you are
You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly in low-power chip design. Your understanding of VLSI designs and SoC design flows sets you apart, and you have a strong passion for scripting to create innovative solutions. You thrive on solving complex challenges and enjoy collaborating with design teams to drive issues to resolution.
Your experience includes developing automated solutions and methodologies that enhance power efficiency in chip design. You are familiar with power domains and have a keen interest in the latest technologies that influence low-power design. You are proactive in seeking out new capabilities and enjoy working on products that impact millions of users.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and verification of new low-power design and verification flows. You will create flows and tools related to power analysis, optimization, and verification, which will be integrated into RTL construction, verification, synthesis, or place and route processes. Your contributions will help shape the methodologies used across various future technologies, ensuring that Apple continues to lead in low-power chip design.
You will collaborate closely with the design team, providing insights and answering questions about the materials used in the design process. Your role will involve enhancing existing flows and developing new capabilities that empower designers to achieve unprecedented levels of power efficiency. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the design process, ensuring that the team meets its goals effectively.
