Your proficiency in Python enables you to develop tools for measurement and analysis, making you a valuable asset in optimizing power consumption. You are well-organized and detail-oriented, ensuring that your analyses lead to actionable insights.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers across various disciplines, including driver, compiler, and application engineers. Your ability to communicate effectively with architects and designers helps you identify opportunities for power reduction and implement effective solutions. You are passionate about creating elegant solutions that enhance the performance and efficiency of next-generation GPUs.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop micro-architectural level energy models for early power estimation and conduct what-if analyses to evaluate performance per watt tradeoffs. You will analyze power consumption throughout the GPU and identify areas where energy reduction is possible. Your work will involve driving power reduction techniques across the entire stack, collaborating with various engineering teams to understand and improve the power efficiency of high-value workloads.
You will also develop tools to aid in the measurement, visualization, and analysis of GPU energy, providing insights that will guide architectural and micro-architectural improvements. Conducting directed studies to prototype solutions for next-generation GPUs will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to contribute to the evolution of Apple's cutting-edge technology.
