You possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, which equips you with the technical knowledge necessary to navigate complex patent issues. Your experience includes identifying patentable inventions and securing strategic patent assets, demonstrating your ability to contribute to a company's innovation strategy.
What you'll do
In this role, you will assist in developing and curating Apple’s battery and power management patent portfolio — this involves working closely with business units to build and prosecute patent applications worldwide. You will provide expert technical and legal analysis, handle patent challenges, and guide patent transactions and licensing matters. Your responsibilities will also include managing work performed by outside law firms and providing cross-functional support for acquisition due diligence, IP licensing, enforcement, standards, and litigation activities.
You will be challenged to apply your extensive legal expertise to rare and often unexplored aspects of the law, ensuring that Apple’s innovations are protected and leveraged effectively in the marketplace. Your role will require you to stay updated on legal developments and trends in technology, allowing you to provide informed guidance to your colleagues.
