You understand the importance of protecting intellectual property in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, and you are committed to upholding high ethical and corporate standards. Your experience in legal support for product development means you can creatively apply your knowledge to unique legal challenges.
You have a strong background in managing patent portfolios and strategies β you are adept at identifying patentable inventions and securing high-quality, strategic patent assets. Your expertise in providing technical and legal analysis allows you to handle patent challenges effectively. You are comfortable working with outside law firms and managing their work to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead engagements with various business units to build and leverage Apple's worldwide patent portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying patentable inventions and securing strategic patent assets that align with Apple's innovative products and services. Your role will involve providing expert technical and legal analysis, guiding patent transactions, and supporting licensing matters.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and other business organizations to understand their priorities and challenges, ensuring that the patent strategy aligns with product development goals. Additionally, you will provide cross-functional support for acquisitions, regulatory matters, IP licensing, enforcement, and litigation efforts, making your role critical to Apple's success in protecting its intellectual property.
