Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field — your educational background equips you with the foundational knowledge necessary for quality engineering in a technology-driven environment. You have a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies, which you apply to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
You are skilled in data-driven decision-making — you approach problems with an engineering mindset, utilizing analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams allows you to collaborate seamlessly with design and engineering teams to integrate quality into the product development process.
What you'll do
As a Core Technologies Quality Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for driving quality improvement actions on future products. You will engage early in the development process to enable new technologies that span across Apple products, ensuring that quality is built into the design from the outset. Your role will involve developing plans to validate and verify new product quality at each development milestone, ensuring that products are ready for mass production.
You will work closely with suppliers to establish capable manufacturing processes that can execute at a high level on an ongoing basis. This will require you to bring up suppliers who can meet Apple's stringent quality standards, fostering strong relationships to ensure alignment on quality expectations. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining the high quality and reliability that Apple customers expect from its products.
