You have 10+ years of experience in cellular systems engineering, with a strong background in modem systems features and requirements. Your expertise in communication standards such as 5G NR, 4G LTE, and 6G enables you to tackle complex challenges in hardware technology. You possess deep knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing, which is crucial for designing algorithms like LDPC, Turbo, and Polar encoders.

Your understanding of PHY/L1 algorithms and their mapping to hardware and firmware architecture allows you to contribute effectively to both pre- and post-silicon bring-up and validation of end-to-end cellular systems. You are skilled in simulation and emulation-based validation, ensuring that control flows and algorithms function as intended. Your experience in automatic gain control, RF impairments estimation, and channel estimation further enhances your capability in this role.

What you'll do

As a Cellular PHY Systems Engineer at Apple, you will be a key member of the system engineering team, responsible for the design and validation of modem systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems meet the required specifications and performance standards. Your role will involve mapping system algorithms and requirements to hardware and firmware architecture, as well as conducting simulation and emulation-based validation of control flows and algorithms.

You will engage in pre- and post-silicon bring-up activities, ensuring that the cellular systems function correctly in real-world scenarios.
