Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in physical design and timing analysis. Your expertise includes working with large design STA and timing closure, and you possess strong programming skills in Perl and TCL. You are familiar with the intricacies of timing for large-scale designs and have hands-on experience in static timing analysis (STA).
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design teams to understand and debug constraints. Your ability to facilitate logic changes to improve timing showcases your problem-solving skills. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of best practices in physical design, which allows you to highlight issues effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be directly responsible for the physical implementation of design partitions from netlist to tapeout for highly complex SOCs. You will collaborate with design teams to understand and debug constraints, facilitating necessary logic changes to enhance timing. Your responsibilities will include creating timing ECOs for project tapeout and maintaining scripts and methodologies for analysis and runs.
You will also be tasked with creating documentation and guidelines/specs to ensure clarity and consistency in processes. A significant part of your role will involve deep analysis of timing paths to identify key issues and implementing timing infrastructure to support project goals. Your contributions will be crucial in delivering groundbreaking Apple products.
