Overview

Apple is hiring a SoC Validation Engineer to validate silicon components and debug issues related to anomalous behaviors. You'll work with system workloads and automation frameworks in Austin.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in silicon validation and debugging, with a strong understanding of system workloads and the ability to analyze circuit marginalities and process-design interactions. You are proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl, which you use to automate tests and validate complex systems. Your analytical skills allow you to triage issues effectively and isolate failures in prototype SoCs across various conditions.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with functional test writers and domain experts to define validation plans and execute system tests. Your attention to detail ensures that you can identify potential issues and characterize the functional voltage of SoCs under different workloads. You are committed to delivering high-quality results and continuously improving validation processes.

What you'll do

As a SoC Validation Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for validating Apple SoCs using system workloads. You will collaborate with functional test writers to understand the high-level architectures of each IP block and define applicable validation plans. Your role will involve executing system tests through scripts and automation frameworks on a large volume of prototype SoCs across various Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) corners.

You will be the first line of defense when issues occur, triaging problems and isolating failures to ensure the reliability of Apple’s silicon products. Your work will directly contribute to the development of groundbreaking technologies that enhance user experiences across Apple’s hardware products. You will also engage with domain experts to refine validation strategies and improve overall testing methodologies.

What we offer

At Apple, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. We offer a dynamic work environment where your contributions will have a significant impact on the future of technology. You will have access to cutting-edge tools and resources to support your work in silicon validation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. Join us to help shape the next generation of Apple products and services.
