Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in testing and debugging hardware and software for system-on-chip (SoC) devices. You possess strong programming skills, particularly in scripting languages like Perl, which you use to write and debug test programs. Your attention to detail allows you to evaluate new products for testability and operability, ensuring high-quality outcomes in mass production. You thrive in collaborative environments, working with various functional teams to coordinate test-related activities.
Desirable
Experience with ATE programs and hardware, particularly with platforms such as Teradyne UFlex/J750/ip750 and Advantest 93k, is a plus. You are comfortable in fast-paced settings and can manage challenges effectively, especially during crisis situations. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps you work well with both internal and external groups.
What you'll do
As a SoC Test Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for crafting and debugging ATE programs and hardware for the characterization, qualification, and production of SoC devices. You will develop and document comprehensive test plans for new devices, ensuring that they meet Apple's high standards for performance and efficiency. Your role will involve designing and debugging both test software and hardware, as well as evaluating new silicon to ensure quality and operability. You will coordinate test-related activities across various teams, contributing to the seamless integration of new technologies into Apple products.
