Who you are

You have 4+ years of backend engineering experience with a passion for excellence — you've developed and enhanced large-scale production systems and understand the intricacies of distributed architectures. Your solid knowledge in Kafka, SQS, and Kubernetes allows you to tackle complex challenges effectively. You are proficient in PostgreSQL and have experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, which enables you to optimize performance and scalability in cloud environments.

You are a team player with a strong sense of ownership — you thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers to deliver value to customers. Your ability to code well in at least one language, such as Java, Go, or Clojure, demonstrates your versatility and adaptability in a fast-evolving tech landscape. You have a keen interest in learning new technologies and frameworks, which helps you stay ahead in the industry.

Your experience with event-driven systems equips you with the skills to analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and stability of AppsFlyer’s products. You are comfortable taking an active part in on-call cycles and monitoring systems, ensuring that the platform remains reliable and efficient. You understand the importance of data integrity and are committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale SaaS production services and databases is a plus, as it aligns with the demands of this role. Familiarity with additional database technologies such as SQL, Athena, or BigQuery can further enhance your contributions to the team. What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and enhance AppsFlyer’s data collection platform, which is crucial for optimizing mobile marketing campaigns. You will solve diverse and complex problems at a large scale, ensuring that the platform can handle data from over 100 marketing platforms efficiently. Collaborating with Product Managers and Software Engineers, you will deliver value to customers by implementing features that improve the overall user experience.

You will analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and stability of the products, environments, and tools used by AppsFlyer. This involves continuously learning and evaluating new technologies to adapt to the ever-growing scale of the platform. You will take an active part in the on-call cycle, monitoring the system and responding to incidents as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Your role will also involve coding and implementing solutions that enhance the functionality of the platform. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the technical documentation, sharing your insights and best practices with the team.
