Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in operating and maintaining environmental test equipment, particularly thermal vacuum chambers and electrodynamic shakers. Your experience includes working in a lab environment where you ensure that testing setups are ready for mission-critical campaigns. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of testing components and systems under simulated space conditions.
You are familiar with data acquisition systems and can build specialized test setups to support various testing requirements. Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally for testing.
What you'll do
As an Environmental Test Technician, you will independently operate thermal vacuum (TVAC) chambers and thermal chambers, conducting tests on spacecraft and its components. You will be responsible for maintaining the environmental test lab, ensuring that all equipment is ready for testing campaigns. Your role will involve utilizing a wide range of test equipment and data acquisition systems, which are crucial for simulating the harsh environments of space.
You will collaborate with engineers to understand testing requirements and ensure that all tests are conducted according to specifications. Your work will directly contribute to the success of satellite missions, as you help validate the performance of spacecraft components under extreme conditions.
